The West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) has amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus outlined a new set of rules for the conduct of the 2020 WASSCE and BECE for school candidates.

The Council explained that the new rules will help protect the prospective candidates, invigilators, and supervisors from contracting the deadly virus which has currently claimed 117 lives in the country.

According to the Head of School Examination Administration Department at the WAEC-Ghana, the Examination Council has put adequate measures in place for the successful conduct of the forthcoming national examinations.

He indicated that the 2020 WASSCE for school candidates will officially start next month which is August and ends on the first week of September this year.
