According to WAEC the extension of 2020 Nov/Dec registration is in regard to the unexpected outbreak of the global coronavirus pandemic and the partial lockdown imposed on some parts of the country by the government as a measure to tamp down the spread of the deadly disease.
Currently WAEC has suspended the conduct of two of its popular national examination 2020 WASSCE for school candidates and 2020 May/June G/ABCE amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The more reason why you should register for WASSCE (PC) before the deadline May 30, 2020, is that WAEC is of confidence by November this year the worst situation would be restored to normalcy for the successful conduct of the exam.
An insider has also whispered to us that the government might allegedly consider 2020 Nov/Dec results for admission into the University, however, this remains unconfirmed.
The Deputy Education Minister, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum has revealed that “WAEC and Ghana Education Service (GES) are closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic to choose a suitable date for students”
He, therefore, advises all students, especially 2020 BECE and WASSCE candidates to make use of their time and their stay at home as a temporal school break amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic to learn their notes.
He added that “as a final year student you should prepare adequately so that when “government makes the determination that you are going to take your exam….you would be ready”.
