Teachers promotion should be based on experience in service. It is completely unfair to subject our mothers n father’s to go through this so called exam in order to get their promotion. Why should that be?.
I have an auntie who has risen through the ranks in education from supritendent to principal superintendent. She has been teaching very well for the past 26 years. She is about 52 years though I personally know she is about 56yrs of age. Recently, she has been teaching KG1 & 2 of her school. She is good in this teaching such that all children love to be with her. This dedicated madam is now required to write exams in topics like logical reasoning, sequence n series etc in order to be promoted to AD2. I have seen this as complete unfair treatment n insult to her personality. This n many others should be treated with respect. Others have headed for several years now doing only management n supervisory roles n so if you are asking such teachers to sit like SHS students to write exams then you are unfair to them.
The teacher’s voice goes no where but their tears n prayers forever liveth.
You can imagine if you are given this question
The sum of three consecutive terms of A.P series is 48. The fifth term is trice the first term. Find the sum of the first fifteen terms of the sequence
How many teachers are very sure of answering this question perfectly? though it is very simple to SHS mathematics teachers and others.
As far as you ignore their experience as teachers of our children, we shall continue to cry for them. Allowing our mothers n fathers to go through this in-human treatment is a great insult to our teaching profession.
This decision is not only an insult to us in chalk industry but demeanor to our profession. It is going to encourage all sort of dubious acts to pass this exams for promotion just like seen in the other exams. Don’t disgrace us to our children when you know our work for these years has nothing to do with what you are asking us for. Stop being mislead Mr GES. Though politics has never been out of our promotion, it is now so much being invited due to some of these decisions. My ears have heard of a list being compiled on someone’s authority for such people to be passed this upcoming exams, if you think it is ransom then just drop that exam n pass the very dedicated teacher to be promoted. We don’t need this discrimination in our profession. The oral interview has ever been the best for their promotion. My teachers are crying aloud for someone to drop that political lense n see the reality. We are never ok to allow our mothers n fathers to sit for exams in the name of promotion.
Some of us shall soon campaign for operation drop that exam.
