NSS directs service personnel & newly-posted nurses to resume work effective May 4
The management of the Ghana National Service Scheme has urged all newly-posted nurses and national service personnel to resume work effective Monday, May 4th, 2020, after it, later on, Thursday, March 26, 2020, asked them to take a compulsory one month leave with pay.
The decision of the management for all National Service Personnel to take one mandatory leave with pay was in line with the Presidents precautionary directive on coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the management all newly posted nurses who were due to start national service in April are also to resume work effective May 4th 2020.
The Scheme added that all National Service Personnel service ends on the 1st September this year.
It, however, said schools throughout the country remain closed until the current situation is restored to normalcy.
The management of the Scheme said its highly committed to the safety and welfare of all national service personnel nationwide and therefore entreats all user agencies and national service personnel to comply accordingly and ensure the use of nose mask and alcohol-based hand sanitizers to tamp down the spread of the novel virus.
