KWAHU AFRAM PLAINS SOUTH HAS RECEIVED THEIR SHARE OF FUMIGATION TO FIGHT COVID-19.
A major disinfection exercise to cleanse all the markets in the Kwahu South Afram plains south District Assembly has been successfully completed.
The exercise was organised by the Kwahu Afram plains South District Assembly in partnership with waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana Limited.
It was aimed at disinfecting various markets across the District to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The event which occurred today, 4th April, 2020, started around 10am by a joint Police personnels in the District.
The exercise brought commercial activities in major markets even though it was not market day in the District, in to a halt as traders and shop keepers closed down their shops and stalls to pave way for the exercise.
Some of the places sprayed included three (3) major markets and its surroundings in the District which included the Tease Old and New market, Maame-krobo market, Ekye-Amanfrom market and Forifori crop market.
Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organisation also took part in the exercise.
The exercise was led by the District Chief executive Hon. George Ofori who was also among the operation and used his own car to convey the press and other staffs of the Assembly.
