If You Can’t Provide Quality Hot Meal, Cancel It – Informed Teacher Network

ITN has again intercepted pictures and videos of the substandard Hot meal being served to the Form Two students of Junior and Senior High Schools and their teachers.

We followed it up and what we saw was an eye saw. This is the kind of food our politicians cannot give to their dogs talk-less of their children.

It is either the food is smoky or tasteless like dry wood or it is too small. The most embarrassing part is what is served teachers.

We are fed up with the gross disrespect to teachers and education as a whole. We are tired of complaining.

If it must be done, it must be done well. If you know you cant provide quality food, cancel the Hot meal initiative or replace it with allowance. We don’t only know how to teach, we can cook our own food too.

We cannot be treated like slaves in our own country. The disheartening part is the kind of irresponsible response that emanates from those in charge.

Read the lamentation of one teacher from Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa’s North Tongu Constituency in the Volta region.

“Is this the hot meal Prez Akuffo Addo promised teachers and students?? Those in authority and in charge must do something. This is an insult to both teachers and students. I entreat the media to come to Battor D.A to see the quantity of food served teachers and students.

Because the last time we confronted the people serving us, the response was “if u don’t like it, go and report me”.

Plz, we’re not slaves or hungry men and women. U can’t serve this quantity of food to JHS student who is above 16yrs to eat from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Even a KG child will not eat this food and be satisfied.”

Its a sad situation. Things cant be going on this way. It’s not motivating.
